Billy Walsh, a cook at Craft Restaurant and waiter at Osteria Latini, was recently involved in a terrible car accident.  He suffered bleeding and swelling of the brain, a collapsed lung, fractured ribs, and leg lacerations.  Unfortunately, Billy does not have health insurance - like many in the food industry.

To help him out, LA's finest culinary talents will be gathering for a night of dinners, desserts, and cocktails.  Chefs include: Eric Greenspan of The Foundry, Ray England of Craft, and Lisa Vega of Providence).  Bartenders are being pulled from Comme Ca, The Edison, Osteria Mozza, and more.

For only $40, you can help out a fellow foodie AND eat some amazing food.  Don't forget to bring a hot date...or meet one there.

In the Flesh: LA Erotic Reading Series

According to In the Flesh Reading Series - LA, you can enjoy complementary cupcakes and cookies from Schmerty's as you listen to a collection of journalists, novelists, and various other kinds of -ists share tales of sexual survival.  The evening will range from Willam Belli (Nip/Tuck, CSI) and his story of toe rape to Dana Harris (Variety.com, Naked Ambition) and her story about making it through the Hot D'Or Awards in Cannes.

Other speakers/writers include Rachel Kramer Bussel, Shana Ting Lipton, Maxim Jakubowski, and Stan Kent.  Their books will also be on sale there.
